Supported Projects

Projects supported by ECPACC

Theatre & Indigenous Storytelling Production

A staged drama performance featuring a cast in traditional Xhosa regalia. The project gave local performers a platform to tell heritage-based stories through theatre, helping preserve oral traditions while developing acting, directing, and production skills within the community.

Youth Performing Arts Collective

A group of young performers photographed at an Eastern Cape venue. The project nurtured emerging talent through training and group performance, building confidence, discipline, and creative skills among the province’s youth.

Fashion Development

Original fashion illustrations and design concepts created by emerging designers. The project supported the visual arts, crafts and design sector by helping designers develop portfolios and translate cultural inspiration into commercial fashion work.

National Arts Festival Participation

ECPACC supported a group of Eastern Cape artists to perform at the National Arts Festival. The funding covered participation and showcasing of indigenous music and dance on a national stage, raising the profile of provincial talent and opening doors to wider audiences and industry networks.

Community Arts

Community members gathered for a seated information and training session. The project educated participants on ECPACC’s funding opportunities and creative-sector development, helping artists and crafters understand how to access support and grow their practice.

Sewing Support Project

Beneficiaries received sewing equipment (industrial machine and materials) alongside an ECPACC banner setting out its vision, mission and values. The project equipped community members with tools and skills for textile production, supporting small-business creation and sustainable livelihoods.

Dance Showcase

A modern dance ensemble performed in a professionally lit theatre setting. The project blended contemporary movement with local cultural influences, giving young dancers performance experience and access to formal stage opportunities.

Crafts & Textile Project

Handmade crochet and knitted textile pieces produced by local crafters. The project developed traditional craft skills and supported income generation, turning heritage handwork into marketable products.

Visual Arts Project

An original framed painting depicting an Eastern Cape township scene with children at play. The project supported local fine artists by funding materials and exhibition, celebrating everyday provincial life and creating opportunities to sell and display their work.
